First National Bank (FNB) Namibia received five PMR Awards at the annual PMR Africa Business Excellence Awards held in Windhoek on Wednesday.

The awards include two Diamond Arrow Awards for Business Banking and Digital Banking Services, as well as three Golden Arrow Awards for Personal Banking, Banks Credit Cards, and Banks (Agriculture) respectively.

Speaking about the win in the Business Banking category, FNB Namibia Executive Officer for Commercial, Sepo Haihambo stated that businesses are at the forefront of ensuring Namibia’s economic recovery, particularly post-COVID-19.

“We are excited about this recognition because it means that our solutions are paving the way for more inclusive economic growth, which will go a long way toward achieving a globally competitive Namibia,” he said.

In order to succeed, FNB keeps its customers at the centre of everything it does, according to Nangula Kauluma, Executive Officer for Retail at FNB Namibia.

“These honours serve as yet another reminder that business leaders value cutting-edge goods, services, and solutions that improve the lives of their clients,” she said.

The awards are based on a countrywide survey of companies and institutions that are leaders and achievers in their sectors over the past 12 months and are rated by a random national sample of 200 respondents comprising CEOs, managing directors, business owners, company directors, managers and senior government officials based in Namibia.

The awards mark the conclusion of a research process in which organisations are evaluated according to respondents’ perceptions, with a strong emphasis on assessing and measuring customer satisfaction and customer service.
