Windhoek: Western Suburbs, a Namibia Rugby Union team based in Khomasdal, continued their challenging season with a heavy 104-28 defeat to Wanderers during Saturday's Premier League match.According to Namibia Press Agency, the match, held at the Wanderers Sports Ground in Pionierspark, left Suburbs at the bottom of the nine-team Premier League, still in pursuit of their first victory after 11 matches. Wanderers, entering the game at the top of the standings following a win over UNAM last weekend, took charge from the beginning and dominated the initial stages.In the first half, Wanderers established a significant 47-14 lead, which they extended further in the second half. The home team scored 15 tries, with Nandivatu Karuuombe and Jorick Muir each achieving a hat-trick. Kistings Minyoi, JP Campbell, and Kyle Nel contributed two tries each, while Jonathan Hannekom, Adriaan Booysen, Ryan Coetzee, and Edward Drotsky scored once each. Johny Mwenyo added 24 points with successful conversions of 12 out of the 1 5 tries.For Suburbs, Morgan Esterhuizen and Wyatt Brooks each scored a try, while Nzola-Menza Nkunku managed to cross the line twice. Brooks converted all four tries.This victory allowed Wanderers to extend their lead at the top of the table to nine points, with a total of 63 points. Montego United, in second place with a game in hand, have 54 points after 11 matches. Suburbs remain at the bottom with only three points from their 11 games.In other matches, UNAM rebounded from last week's loss to Wanderers with a 42-24 win over Rehoboth at the UNAM Stadium, maintaining their chances for a top-four finish and a semi-final spot. UNAM now have 37 points from 11 matches, while Rehoboth stays sixth with 22 points.Elsewhere, Kudus dominated Reho Falcons 71-17 in Walvis Bay, moving within a point of third place with 50 points. Grootfontein, in third place, suffered another setback with a 51-17 loss to Montego United in Grootfontein, keeping them at 51 points. Reho Falcons are in eighth place, level with Dolph ins, who had no match this weekend, both having 17 points.
