KNVC, Kudos lead volleyball logs

The Khomas NamPol Volleyball Club (KNVC) and Kudos male and female teams are the current log leaders of their respective logs in the Central Volleyball Association 2022 season following the weekend matches.

In the men’s division, KNVC amassed 52 points after winning their last two fixtures by three sets to nil (3-0) against Afrocat on 05 August and the University of Namibia (UNAM) on 08 August.

They are closely followed by the Namibian Defence Force (NDF) A team, who have 46 points following their two victories over Kings (3-0) and City of Windhoek (CoW) via a 3-1 set success.

Third place belongs to Kudos, who have 42 points despite sitting out the last two rounds.

They are followed in fourth place by Afrocat C on 37 points, with fifth place occupied by NDF B on 36 points.

In the sixth spot is CoW, whose one loss to NDF A and one victory against the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) by 3-0 over the weekend sees them on 33 points.

Following their loss to KNVC and 3-0 set win over Kings, UNAM are seventh with 27 points, and Afrocat D eighth with 15 points.

NUST are in position nine with 17 points followed by Kings at 10th, with Heritage anchoring the log on six points.

In the ladies’ section, Kudos lead the log with 37 points following their 3-1 set victory over UNAM on Wednesday.

They are followed by Revival, who have 34 points in the second position while KNVC is third with 28 points.

In the fourth position is NDF (27 points) who won against Afrocat and UNAM by a 3-0 scoreline respectively, while fifth is Afrocat with 14 points.

NamPol Otjozondjupa found sixth place with 13 points, with UNAM seventh on the log with 12 points following their 3-0 defeat to NDF.

NUST are bottom of the log with three points.

The penultimate league fixtures will take place Wednesday and Thursday, 10 and 11 August respectively, with the CoW male team facing UNAM on Wednesday. The following day, NDF A will play NDF B while KNVC will face Afrocat C.

The league finale will take place on Saturday, 13 August, at UNAM.
