Hanoi: A China-Vietnam Mid-Autumn Festival Gala has commenced in Hanoi, uniting artists and performing troupes from both nations on one stage to celebrate the upcoming festival.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the event is a significant part of the 75th-anniversary celebrations of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam, as well as the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges. Held on Thursday night, the gala offered an essential platform for cultural exchange and mutual understanding between the two countries.
The gala was divided into four chapters, featuring an assortment of performances including singing, Tai Chi, traditional instrumental music, and both traditional and modern dance from China and Vietnam.
Cai Xiangrong, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Yunnan Provincial Committee, emphasized that China and Vietnam, as neighbors connected by geographical features, benefit from Yunnan's role as a crucial bridge and frontier for cultural and economic exchanges. He highlighted that this artistic dialogue across borders showcased the friendship of good neighbors and enabled people from both nations to share the joy of reunion under one moon.
Tran Nhat Hoang, deputy director of the International Cooperation Department under Vietnam's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, also spoke at the gala, drawing a parallel between the shared culture and enduring bonds of Vietnam and China to the bright moon of the Mid-Autumn Festival, which lights up the path of bilateral cooperation.
The gala was organized by the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Publicity Department of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, and executed by Yunnan Media Group and the Chinese Culture Center in Hanoi.
