Windhoek:The second Namibia Public-Private Forum (NAMPPF II) is scheduled to take place from November 25 to 26, 2026, under the theme 'From Commitment to Competitiveness Accelerating Investment, PPPs and Job Creation'. This announcement was made by the National Planning Commission (NPC).

According to Namibia Press Agency, the forum will be chaired by President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and aims to build on the outcomes of the first event. The goal is to attract investment and ensure that commitments made by the government and private sector lead to completed projects and sustainable employment opportunities.

The inaugural forum, held in October 2025, resulted in 171 proposed solutions and 34 presidential commitments. It also led to the creation of three presidential task forces focusing on economic recovery, housing, land delivery and sanitation, and health. These task forces have already presented preliminary reports to the Cabinet, resulting in directives for implementation by various offices, ministries, and agencies (OMAs).

In a recent statement, Nandi-Ndaitwah emphasized the need for implementation and measurable results, stating that the credibility of the development agenda depends on it. She called for every office, ministry, and agency to take responsibility for removing obstacles to execution and reporting measurable progress on solutions from the first forum.

NPC Director-General Kaire Mbuende highlighted the role of the commission in coordinating and monitoring the implementation of directives and recommendations, in collaboration with the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) and the NAMPPF Coordinating Committee. He urged OMAs to accelerate the implementation of directives and called on the private sector to participate actively in reforms, investment mobilization, and the development of viable projects.

As Namibia continues with the implementation of NDP6 and its national objectives, Mbuende stated that NAMPPF II would reinforce the shared responsibility of the government and private sector to focus on implementation, accountability, and measurable developmental impact.
