Namibia’s 200 metres women’s Olympic Games silver medallist Christine Mboma says she cannot promise any silverware but is looking forward to competing in her first Commonwealth Games final.

Mboma said this in an interview with Nampa on Friday night after winning heat two of the women’s 200m in a time of 22.93 seconds.

With that win, she has now set up a rematch of the Olympic Games with Jamaica’s 200m Olympic Games gold medallist Elain Thompson-Herah who won heat three in a time of 22.63 seconds, the fastest time in all the three heats that were held on the night.

Mboma’s time was the third fastest just behind Nigerian sprinter Favour Ofili who ran a time of 22.66 seconds.

The final of the women’s 200m at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games will be held at the Alexander Stadium on Saturday at 22h44 Namibian time
