Negumbo: Negumbo Secondary School in the Omusati Region on Thursday hosted its second career fair aimed at exposing learners to various post-school education and career opportunities. The one-day event brought together learners from Negumbo and nearby schools, along with representatives from different tertiary and vocational institutions, who shared valuable information on study programmes, admission requirements, funding opportunities, career paths, and student life.

According to Namibia Press Agency, acting principal Loide Haulofu emphasized the significance of the initiative in helping learners make informed decisions about their future after completing secondary education. "Today is more than just an exhibition. It is an opportunity to shape your future. The decisions you take after completing Grade 11 and Grade 12 can have a lasting impact on your lives," Haulofu stated.

She encouraged learners to actively engage with exhibitors and gather as much information as possible about available opportunities. "I encourage each one of you to take this opportunity seriously. Visit every stall, ask questions, find out about the different courses being offered, admission requirements, funding opportunities, career prospects, and student life," she advised.

Haulofu also cautioned learners against limiting their career choices based on the interests of their peers, urging them to explore opportunities that align with their abilities and aspirations. "Do not limit yourself to what your friends are interested in. Explore different possibilities and make informed choices based on your strengths, interests, and dreams. Remember, success begins with making informed decisions," she concluded.
