Prime Minister Modi’s One-Day State Visit to Namibia Focuses on Diplomatic Engagements

Windhoek: India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Namibia on Wednesday for a one-day state visit. Modi landed at the Hosea Kutako International Airport at 06h30, where he was received by Minister of International Relations and Trade, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Modi's agenda includes meeting with members of the Indian community followed by official talks with President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah at State House. The discussions are expected to culminate in the signing of a memorandum of understanding.

Modi's visit also features a stop at Heroes Acre, where Defence and Veterans Affairs Minister Frans Kapofi will welcome him for a wreath-laying ceremony. The visit will wrap up at Parliament, where Modi will meet the Speaker of the National Assembly, Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, before departing around 18h00.
