GFF's artistic director, Andrew Mohsen, noted an increase in audience numbers with each edition of the festival, emphasizing that while the event is known for its crowded venues and red-carpet appearances, its primary focus remains on cinema and the films showcased. The festival took place in El Gouna, a Red Sea resort town, from October 15 to 23, featuring 77 films from various countries, along with discussions and industry events.
The festival also highlighted CineGouna, its industry and funding platform, which facilitates connections among film professionals and supports project development at various stages, as mentioned by Mohsen.
