Moscow: The Soyuz MS-26 manned spacecraft delivered Russian cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Alexey Zubritsky, as well as NASA astronaut Jonathan Kim to the International Space Station (ISS), the broadcast of the Russian State Corporation Roscosmos showed on Tuesday.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the Soyuz-2.1a rocket launched at 8:47 a.m. Moscow time (5:47 GMT) from the 31st launch pad of the Baikonur cosmodrome. Nine minutes later, the rocket launched the Soyuz MS-27 into low-Earth orbit.
It is planned that the duration of the flight of the crew at the station will be 245 days. During the expedition, Russian cosmonauts will perform two spacewalks and conduct at least 42 scientific experiments aboard the ISS.
