Tiboth’s Legacy of Loyalty and Dedication to Swapo Lauded by Shaningwa

Beresea: Swapo Party Secretary General (SG), Sophia Shaningwa, paid tribute to the late Emeritus Stephanus Tiboth, acknowledging his dedication, commitment, and unwavering loyalty to the party and the Namibian liberation cause, ahead of his burial on Saturday.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Shaningwa's remarks, delivered in a speech on her behalf, highlighted Tiboth's role as a beacon of dedication within the Swapo Party. Tiboth, who passed away on 26 May at the age of 80, was not only a member and pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church but also served as the Swapo Party regional coordinator for Hardap. His resolute spirit and passion for justice were pivotal in advancing Namibia's struggle for independence, embodying the party's revolutionary ideals and inspiring many to persevere in the face of challenges.

Shaningwa expressed deep gratitude for Tiboth's lifelong devotion to Namibia. She noted that as a regional coordinator in Hardap, Tiboth tirelessly worked to uplift communities, foster unity, and champion the aspirations of the people. His leadership exemplified the power of collective resolve, leaving a lasting legacy in the nation's history.

The SG emphasized that Tiboth's sacrifices have made a significant impact on Namibia, urging unity in celebrating his life and recommitment to the revolutionary ideals he upheld. She noted his life as a call for freedom, equality, and justice, a call that the party vows to honor as they continue to pursue a united and prosperous Namibia.

Tiboth is survived by his wife, seven children, 21 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Shaningwa extended sincere condolences and deepest sympathies to Tiboth's family, recognizing him as a brave freedom fighter and distinguished veteran of the liberation struggle.
