Windhoek: A 19-year-old man was stabbed to death at Oluhwa village on Saturday.
According To Namibia Press Agency, the weekend crime report issued by Namibian Police Force spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, Abrosius Tangeni Nghifikepunye was stabbed with an okapi knife by a 15-year-old boy. 'The motive behind the stabbing is unknown and the deceased's next of kin are informed,' Shikwambi said.
In a separate incident, police in Gobabis are investigating a murder incident after 26-year-old Frederick Lubaan was stabbed to death outside his home in Epako Friday night. According to Shikwambi, Lubaan got involved in a fight with the two suspects aged 21 and 23. 'When the victim returned indoors, he informed his brother he had been stabbed, and collapsed. He was then rushed to the Gobabis State Hospital but succumbed to his injuries upon arrival. The next of kin were informed,' Shikwambi said, adding that the two suspects have been arrested.
Meanwhile in Divundu, an 86-year-old woman was allegedly raped on Friday night. It is alleged that the incident occurred at Popa village after the male suspect entered the pensioner's room while she was sleeping. It is further alleged that the victim screamed for help and the suspect was caught red-handed by her granddaughter. The suspect fled but is known to the police. Police investigations continue.
