Sudzha: Ukrainian armed forces were reportedly involved in looting, setting fire to houses with civilians inside, and deliberately shelling residences in Russia's Sudzha of the Kursk Region, according to Russian Investigative Committee spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the committee confirmed on Telegram that they have gathered information indicating these actions by Ukrainian militants. The evacuated civilians have been relocated to temporary accommodation centers and are currently participating in ongoing investigative procedures.

The investigation has revealed that during January and February 2025, Ukrainian servicepeople in Sudzha were engaged in looting and setting fire to residential buildings occupied by civilians. There were also incidents of targeted shelling, leading to the complete destruction of some buildings.

Testimonies from civilians further corroborate the numerous instances of criminal orders from the Ukrainian armed forces command to shoot civilians in the Kursk Region, as highlighted by the Investigative Committee.
