Nairobi: Russia's iron and steel exports to South Korea reached $10.6 million this February, the highest figure since September 2024.

According to Namibia Press Agency, based on Korean statistical data, supplies increased by 7.2% month-on-month during this period but fell threefold compared to the same time last year. South Korea primarily imported steel-making pig iron, which accounted for $6.5 million of the total. The country also purchased waste and scrap ferrous metals for $2.5 million and ferroalloys for $1.6 million.

During this period, Russia ranked 12th among South Korea's total imports of ferrous metals, up from 13th place in January but down from 8th place last February. The top five suppliers were China ($356.2 million), Japan ($289.8 million), Indonesia ($30.6 million), Vietnam ($30.18 million), and India ($30.17 million).
