Vietnam: Vietnam's import value of completely built-up automobiles reached a record high of 3.02 billion U.S. dollars in the first eight months of this year. This figure was reported by the local daily Nhan Dan, which cited data from Vietnam Customs.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the country imported a total of 137,821 completely built-up automobiles during the period. Among these, cars with fewer than nine seats represented the largest share, with over 104,000 units imported, marking an increase of 19.6 percent compared to the previous year. The import of passenger vehicles saw a significant surge of 95.8 percent, totaling 17,756 units from January to August.
In August alone, Vietnam imported 16,274 completely built-up automobiles, valued at 363 million dollars. The majority of these imports originated from Indonesia, Thailand, and China, as reported by Vietnam Customs.
