1 Killed, 32 Injured as Flash Flood Sweeps Through Eastern Afghanistan

Jalalabad: At least one person has been confirmed dead and 32 others sustained injuries as a flash flood swept through parts of eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar province on Friday night, according to state-run Bakhtar news agency.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the heavy rains triggered a flash flood in the provincial capital, Jalalabad City. The incident resulted in the death of one person and injuries to 32 others. The flooding also caused significant property damage, impacting several shops, houses, and farmlands in the area.

Rainstorms and flooding in the region have resulted in the deaths of three people and injuries to 34 others over the past couple of days, leaving dozens homeless across different parts of Afghanistan.
