Netball Namibia (NN) has called on netball lovers and supporters in the coastal towns to pack the netball courts over the weekend when the league season kicks off at Walvisbay on Saturday.

The second leg of the 2022 Namibia Netball Premier League season is set to commence at Kuisebmond Stadium in Walvis Bay on Saturday, with rounds one and two of the league action slated for that venue.

NN vice president and head of marketing and sponsorship, Rebekka Goagoses in an interview with Nampa on Wednesday said the venue for the games is confirmed and they are just waiting for clubs to arrive for some great netball over the weekend.

“We are taking the games to the people but the people are not coming to witness the action that is brought to them. I am therefore calling on people living in Walvis Bay and Swakopmund to come and see their players so they can also see how good these players are and how they are selected for the national team,” Goagoses said.

Round one of the second leg will kick off on Saturday at 09h00 with a game between Namibian Navy and Rebels and Blue Waters versus Namibia Correctional Services.

At 11h00 Afrocat Lions will take on Eleven Arrows while Grootfontein will play Young Stars.
