Geingob extends condolences to South Korea

President Hage Geingob has expressed his condolences to South Korea’s President Yoon Suk-yeol, following the death of over 150 people in Seoul on Saturday.

In his message of condolences issued by the Presidency on Monday, Geingob said Namibia joins the people of South Korea in mourning the lives lost in the tragic incident, where over 150 people died as a result of a stampede during a Halloween celebration.

Geingob said Namibia and South Korea enjoy a warm bilateral relationship.

“During this hour of grief, I extend sincere condolences to President Yoon Suk-yeol, the victims, bereaved families, and the entire people of South Korea. In the same vein, I wish all those injured in this tragedy a speedy recovery,” Geingob said.
