Mariental: The Governor of the Hardap Region, Salomon April, was among the first individuals to cast his vote at the Aimablaagte Community Hall in Mariental during the Presidential and National Assembly Elections on Wednesday. April expressed his satisfaction with the impressive voter turnout and emphasized the significance of citizen participation in the electoral process.According to Namibia Press Agency, April shared his observations in an interview, highlighting concerns regarding voter preparedness, particularly among elderly voters who seemed unfamiliar with the voting process. "I noticed that many, especially the elders, didn't really understand how the process works," April stated. He expressed his hope that the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) would enhance communication efforts at polling stations to better inform voters.April further emphasized the necessity for clearer instructions to be provided by officials before voters enter polling stations. He stated his intention to address these c oncerns with the presiding and returning officers overseeing the region's polling stations. April aims to ensure a smoother electoral process in future elections by advocating for improved communication and voter assistance.
