Windhoek: Voting in Namibia's Presidential and National Assembly elections commenced smoothly at the two polling stations at the Wernhil Shopping Centre in Windhoek Wednesday morning.According to Namibia Press Agency, presiding officers Ngetujame Katjitundu (Station A) and Hafeni Ngemwatya (Station B) confirmed that both stations opened on time at 07h00. Long queues were already forming early on Wednesday, with some voters expressing concerns about the wait times. An employee at Dis-chem, Michael Mulapo, shared his concern about possibly not voting due to work commitments, saying, "The queues are too long and we are working today. We wish the officials could consider us, but unfortunately, we have to be at work."Mulapo, however, added that he still holds hope for casting his vote. The polling stations will remain open until 21h00, allowing registered voters ample time to cast their votes.
