Katima Mulilo: Residents of Katima Mulilo queued up in numbers as early as 05h45 on Wednesday to take part in the Presidential and National Assembly Elections. Large number of voters could be spotted at the Ngweze Community Hall, where Zambezi Governor Lawrence Sampofu was also expected to cast his vote.According to Namibia Press Agency, 66-year-old Alphons Masiye Bainga expressed his readiness to vote, stating, 'I came here around past 06h00 this morning. I am ready to vote. I am voting for peace, that's why I am here.' Another senior citizen, 68-year-old Albert Mbonabi, shared a similar sentiment, emphasizing his eagerness to have his voice heard by arriving as early as 06h00.The younger demographic was represented by 29-year-old Mapenzi Silimwe, who declared, 'I'm really here so that my voice can be heard, that's why I'm here.' The Katima Mulilo Urban Constituency is well-prepared for the elections with 19 election teams, including three mobile teams led by returning officer Clarina Dias. The region an ticipates participation from 52,163 eligible voters throughout the day.
