Mariental: Presiding officer at the Aimablaagte Community Hall polling station in Mariental, Greselda Auses, reported a smooth start to the voting process early on Wednesday morning. "Since we opened this morning, everything has been running smoothly. We prioritised pensioners and then allowed one youth at a time," Auses explained. She explained that the procedure was aimed at ensuring that the youth were not discouraged by long queues, striking a balance between efficiency and inclusivity.According to Namibia Press Agency, Nampa also spoke to two pensioners about their voting experience. Pensioner Paul Goliath expressed how satisfied he is with the voting process. "The voting was smooth without any problems. There were no hurdles," stated Goliath. Another pensioner, Martha Martins, shared her joy at being able to cast her vote. "I am happy I was able to vote because it's not only for me, but for the future of my children and grandchildren," Martins said.Over 1.3 million people have registered to cast the ir ballots across the 121 constituencies countrywide in the Presidential and National Assembly Elections.
