Kudos, KNVC hit purple patch

Kudos Ladies Volleyball Club (VC) continued their fine form in the Central Volleyball Association (CVA) League as they registered a crucial 3-0 victory over Afrocat at the weekend to maintain their stronghold on the log.

Kudos currently lead the log with 17 points from six matches having lost zero games.

Kudos are closely followed by Khomas NamPol (KNVC) who have played all their seven first-round matches, winning five and losing two while amassing 15 points.

Revivals VC are third with 14 points from six matches while the Namibian Defence Force (NDF) is fourth with 11 points.

The bottom half of the table sees Afrocat on fifth with eight points from six games, NamPol Otjozondjupa (NOVC) sixth with four points from seven games, the University of Namibia (UNAM) seventh with five points from six games and lastly Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) anchoring the log with three points from seven games.

In the men’s league, Afrocat beat UNAM by 3-2, while NUST accounted for Kings VC by 3-1 sets, with Kudos beating Kings by 3-0 and NDF edging Kudos by 3-1 sets.

KNVC lead the men’s log standings with 22 points from eight games of the first round.

NDF A team is second with 23 points from nine matches followed by UNAM with 20 points from 10 matches.

The City of Windhoek (CoW) is fourth with 17 points followed by Afrocat C in fifth place with Kudos sixth.

In the seventh spot, NDF B side is just above Afrocat D who have played only six of their 10 games for the first round in the eighth position.

NUST is ninth and Kings in tenth with Heritage anchoring the log on 11th.

There are four ladies and nine men’s fixtures scheduled for 27 and 28 May at UNAM and KNVC Courts as follows.
