NamPol and NDF dominate CVA awards

The Khomas Nampol female and Nambia Defence Force (NDF) male Volleyball Clubs won the first places of the Central Volleyball Association (CVA) awards held at the University of Namibia UNAM) main campus 's Gym Hall in the capital on Saturday.

The two teams took home N.dollars 5 000, trophies plus medals while Revivals ladies and Khomas Nampol men came second, pocketed N.dollars 3 000 each plus silver medals.

However, NDF ladies and NamPower male team came third and took home N.dollars 2 000 plus bronze medals.

Letty Taapopi and Dawid Esilon respectively scooped the youngest player in ladies and men categories while Solvyg Visser took the oldest player's award.

The dedicated referee award in ladies category went to Theopolina Muunda whereas Ernst Simana won men's category award.

The individuals from the CVA were honored with appreciation and recognition certificates for their contributions and dedication to the association throughout the year 2019.

At the event, the Khomas School Sport Region also awarded under 13 and 17 girls and boys with awards.

In the under 13, Sunshine Private school girls and Faith Primary School (P.S) boys took the first position and each receive voucher, trophy and gold medals.

Faith Primary girls and Tobias Hainyeko P.S boys respectively came second and took silver medals.

The third place went to Moses van der Byl P.S girls and boys taking home bronze medals.

In the under 17categories, Happydu and St.Joseph High School (H.S) girls and boys took the first place while Peoples P.S girls and Happydu boys came second.

St. Joseph H.S and Peoples P.S took the third position.
