Put water back into boreholes

The Minister of Agriculture, Water and Forestry, Hon. John Mutorwa said his ministry, in conjunction with the Windhoek Municipality and Namwater, is working on a scheme to artificially recharge the Windhoek Aquifer with a blend of reclaimed and surface water.
According to Mutorwa, his ministry has also commissioned a study to conduct an Engineering and   Environmental assessment of all options for the augmentation of subterranean water for Windhoek and for the Cuvelai drainage are in Owamboland. “All of these schemes represent mega investments in infrastructure to bring water over vast distances to the major population centres.
