Readout of Courtesy Call of Ambassador Dong Chan Kim on President Hage G. Geingob,

Outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Namibia, H.E Dong Chan Kim paid this morning a farewell courtesy call on H.E, President Hage G. Geingob Thanking President Geingob for Namibia's support for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, Ambassador informed that relations between Namibia and South Korea continue to grow, including in the area of tourism. The Ambassador also thanked President Geingob for providing leadership to SADC, and committed to request the Government of South Korea to reopen an Embassy in Namibia. Emphasizing the importance of consultations on matters pertaining to the SADC region, President Hage G. Geingob thanked Ambassador Dong Chan Kim for the courtesy call and update on developments in the Korean Peninsula. President Geingob highlighted the primacy of a peaceful humanity, good neighbourly relations, and lauded the initiatives of His Excellency Moon Jae-in, President of the Republic of South Korea in favour of peace in the Korean Peninsula.
