Moscow: Russia has sent information to the United States regarding Kiev's alleged breaches of a 30-day moratorium on attacks against energy facilities, as stated by Alexey Polishchuk, Director of the Second Department of CIS Countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Russian authorities have been diligently documenting instances where Kiev has purportedly violated the moratorium. Polishchuk emphasized that this information is being shared with Washington, recognizing its role as a co-author of the initiative, and is also being distributed to other international capitals and organizations to substantiate claims of Kiev's non-compliance.
The initiative traces back to a phone call on March 18 between Russian President Vladimir Putin and then-US President Donald Trump. During their discussion, Trump proposed that all parties involved in the conflict agree to a 30-day cessation of strikes on energy infrastructure. Putin endorsed this initiative, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy subsequently expressed support for halting attacks on energy facilities.
Despite these agreements, the Russian government maintains that Kiev has persisted in targeting Russia's energy infrastructure, prompting the ongoing exchange of information with international stakeholders.
