Stadium turf burns players

COACHES of several teams in the MTC Namibian Premier League have complained about the condition of the artificial turf at the Sam Nujoma Stadium when their teams play fixtures during the day.
They claim that the turf absorbs high levels of heat from the sun and becomes too hot for players to play comfortably on during the day. This has negatively affected the performance of players who have league and cup games scheduled for midday. Blue Waters head coach Gilbert Rwasoka expressed disappointment over the condition of the artificial turf during daytime.
