State Council Appoints New Leadership for Macao SAR Government.

Macao: The State Council, China's cabinet, has announced the appointment of key officials for the sixth-term government of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) along with the prosecutor general for the Public Prosecutions Office.According to Namibia Press Agency, the appointments were carried out in compliance with the Basic Law of the Macao SAR of the People's Republic of China. The nominations for these positions were made by Sam Hou Fai, the current chief executive of the Macao SAR, as stated by the State Council in their official declaration.The newly appointed leaders include Cheong Weng Chon as Secretary for Administration and Justice, Tai Kin Ip as Secretary for Economy and Finance, and Wong Sio Chak as Secretary for Security. Further appointments include O Lam as Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Tam Vai Man as Secretary for Transport and Public Works, Ao Ieong Seong as Commissioner Against Corruption, and Ao Ieong U as Commissioner of Audit.In addition, Leong Man Cheong has bee n appointed as the Commissioner General of the Unitary Police Service, Ho Hou Hon as the Director General of the Macao Customs, and Chan Tsz King as the Prosecutor General of the Public Prosecutions Office. The statement also detailed that the newly appointed officials and the prosecutor general are set to assume their roles on December 20.
