MTC Reception At Omega Poor

MTC Namibia reception at Omega 1 is poor leading to customers to call for improved services.

The network at Omega 1 has only been working from 8h00 to 16h00 for most of June.

“Our base transmitter station at Omega 1 is serviced by solar power and the site suffers from power constraints from time to time. Plans are afoot to connect it to the national to grid power which will resolve all power issues. For the interim, MTC will deploy a generator to ensure better services in the area,” said John Ekongo of MTC corporate communications.

Commenting on another issue in Swakopmund, where the service was described as ‘pathetic, slow, and rude,’ Ekongo said MTC deeply regrets that the service levels experienced at its Swakopmund Mobile Home was not up to customers’ expectations.

“In keeping in line with our customer service philosophy of responding to customers’ concerns swiftly, we will address the concerns raised with our Swakopmund personnel to improve their service delivery. We subscribe to a stringent code of service standards which is enforced across our Mobile Homes countrywide,” Ekongo said.
