Namibia’s senior national women’s football team ready for friendly match against South Africa

WINDHOEK: Namibia’s senior national women’s football team players are ready for their friendly match against South Africa on Saturday.

Namibia’s ‘Brave Gladiators’ head coach Jacqueline Shipanga said today they will not fear South Africa, and would like to show them that Namibia is ready for the championship.

The South African team arrived in Namibia today.

This match will be used by both nations as part of their preparations for the ninth edition of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Women’s Championship, slated for Namibia from 11 to 25 October this year.

Shipanga noted that there are still many technicalities which need to be sorted out, but local fans should not be worried because her players will do their best when they get onto the field at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Katutura at 15h00.
