AIR NAMIBIA ANNOUNCES NEW SERVICES TO LAGOS AND ACCRA

WINDHOEK, Air Namibia has announced the addition of two new West African destinations -- the Ghanaian capitalm Accra, and Nigeria's biggest city, Lagos -- to its route network with effect from March 25, 2018.

The Namibian flag carrier said in a media statement issued here Tuesday by Corporate Communications Manager Homateni Nakawa that the new services were aimed at growing its business and increasing its footprint on the continent.

He explained that the route for the two destinations will be Windhoek-Lagos-Accra and return will be Accra-Lagos-Windhoek, four times per week, using Airbus A319-100 aircraft. The operation departing schedules from Windhoek will be Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

"This much-needed service will give our passengers a better alternative travel option and it will reduce travel times between Namibia and West Africa by more than 60 per cent," said Air Namibia's Acting Managing Director, Mandi Samson.
