Abuja: Ex-Miss Nigeria, Chioma Obiadi, has advised women, particularly young girls not to limit their dreams in life to a particular age. Obiadi, the 40th Miss Nigeria, spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the world often teaches young women to limit their dreams, to aspire only to what is 'safe' and 'realistic'.

Obiadi, who was crowned Miss Nigeria in 2016, replacing Lessi Peter, urged young girls to be ambitious for what they aspire to attain. She encouraged them to view their dreams as valid and beautiful, stating that if they dream it, they can achieve it. Obiadi shared her own experiences in the world of pageantry, beginning with her success as the Face of Unizik in 2015, and her subsequent achievements in the Miss Anambra pageant as a 1st runner-up.

She emphasized that her journey was a testament to the fact that dreams are not mistakes but divine seeds that need nurturing. Obiadi offered her story as proof that young women, even from modest backgrounds, can achieve greatness and impact the world.

Reflecting on her own journey, Obiadi described her life as an embodiment of an unshakable dream, filled with meaning, adventure, and impact. She recounted how being crowned the 40th Miss Nigeria at the age of 21 opened doors to global experiences and possibilities she had never imagined. In 2020, she founded Tyra Homes and Designs, her own business in interior design and real estate, which she described as her "COVID baby."

Obiadi urged young girls to be bold and embrace their dreams, viewing them as seeds that should be nurtured to achieve success. Citing Lois P. Frankel and Issa Rae, she highlighted the importance of bravery, defying expectations, and dreaming recklessly to achieve real success. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
