Okanghudi: Former President Hifikepunye Pohamba has called on Namibians to participate peacefully in the electoral process and for defeated candidates to accept the results with grace. Speaking at his home village of Okanghudi in the Ohangwena Region, Pohamba emphasized the importance of maintaining peace during elections, a tradition Namibia has upheld since its inception.According to Namibia Press Agency, Pohamba highlighted that democracy requires citizens to elect their leaders, and Namibians continue to fulfill this duty peacefully. He expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to vote in the upcoming 2024 elections and stressed the necessity for all eligible citizens to participate in the electoral process.In addition to his electoral message, Pohamba extended warm holiday wishes to his fellow citizens, hoping for a joyful Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
