Conakry: Guinean President Mamady Doumbouya on Thursday accepted the resignation of Prime Minister and Head of Government Amadou Oury Bah, along with that of all members of the government, according to an announcement by Amara Camara, Minister Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Republic. Camara revealed that the resignation letter was addressed to the head of state earlier Thursday during a regular meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Doumbouya.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the collective resignation marks a new institutional beginning following the presidential election held on December 28, 2025. Camara emphasized that this move is part of the constitutional transition following the election process.

Following the resignation, President Doumbouya signed two decrees terminating the functions of the prime minister and government members. He has entrusted the secretaries-general of ministerial departments with overseeing day-to-day affairs until a new government is appointed. This interim arrangement aims to ensure continuity in governance during the transitional phase.
