NamPol makes several drug-related arrests

The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) made several drug-related arrests over the weekend.

Its weekend crime report issued on Sunday indicated that a 30-year-old man was arrested at the Windhoek-Rehoboth police checkpoint after police searched him and allegedly found cannabis worth N.dollars 331 000 in his possession on Friday.

A 24-year-old man was also arrested at the Windhoek-Rehoboth police checkpoint on Friday after he was allegedly found in possession of cannabis weighing 1 000 grams and valued at N.dollars 50 000.

Furthermore, a 33-year-old male suspect was arrested at Henties Bay for possession of cannabis on Saturday. According to the report the suspect was allegedly found in possession of cannabis worth N.dollars 11 820.

The police further arrested three men and two women in Rehoboth’s Block G residential area on Friday.

According to the report, the suspects were found in possession of dangerous dependence-producing drugs including crack cocaine and cannabis, altogether valued at N.dollars 550.
