Otjozondjupa Political Figures Cast Early Votes in Otjiwarongo.

Otjiwarongo: Otjozondjupa Region Governor, James Uerikua, and his spouse, Kamuneua Uerikua, were among the first to cast their votes at Otjiwarongo as the Presidential and National Assembly elections commenced across the country on Wednesday.According to Namibia Press Agency, Uerikua expressed satisfaction with the voting process after casting his vote at the Roman Catholic Church polling station, describing it as straightforward. "This is the moment we have been waiting for. I am happy to have cast my vote in the Presidential and National Assembly elections," remarked the governor.Accompanying the governor were the Otjozondjupa Regional Council Chairperson, Marlayn Mbakera, and her spouse, Peacock Mbakera. Mbakera conveyed to the press that the voting process was organized and smooth. Other notable figures such as Otjiwarongo Mayor, Gottlieb Shivute, and former Otjozondjupa Governor, Otto Ipinge, also participated in voting at the same polling station.Victoria Amutenya, ECN Otjozondjupa Regional Elect oral Officer, confirmed that the voting exercise commenced punctually at 07h00 throughout the region. "The queues are also impressive everywhere. People started arriving at the 207 polling stations in the region around 02h00 at Grootfontein and 03h00 in Otjiwarongo on Wednesday morning," commented Amutenya. Voting will proceed until 21h00 on Wednesday.
