The Brave Warriors have moved up two positions on the latest International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) world rankings released on Tuesday.

This means Namibia is now ranked 110th in the world and 25th in Africa, but still remains fourth in the Council of Southern African Football Associations (Cosafa) rankings.

The previous ranking was released on 23 December 2021, where Namibia was 112th in the world, 26th in Africa and fifth on the Cosafa rankings.

Senegal continues to lead the African rankings, followed by Morocco. Nigeria moves from fifth in December to third, with Egypt also moving from sixth to fourth displacing Algeria, who moves to seventh, while Tunisia drops from fourth to fifth.

At Cosafa, there are no changes in the rankings as South Africa tops the standings, followed by Zambia, Madagascar, Namibia and Mozambique.

Meanwhile, Belgium continues to lead the world standings ahead of Brazil in second. Third place is occupied by France, while Argentina swaps positions with England at fourth and fifth respectively.

The Brave Warriors last played a competitive match on 15 November 2021, where they lost 1-0 to Togo at Orlando Stadium in South Africa.

In women’s football, the last rankings were released on 10 December 2021 and Namibia is ranked 145th in the world, 25th in Africa and fifth at Cosafa.

The United States of America is the top-ranked side in women’s football, while Nigeria tops the continental side and South Africa tops the Cosafa region.
