President Hage Geingob will participate in the African Union (AU) 36th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government in Addis Abba, Ethiopia this weekend.
Press Secretary in the Presidency, Dr Alfredo Hengari in a media statement on Thursday said Geingob as the chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation will also hold several bilateral meetings with other Heads of State and international organisations.
The 36th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government will take place on Saturday and Sunday under the theme ‘Acceleration of the African Continental Free Trade Area Implementation’.
Hengari said on the margins of the ordinary session, Geingob will hold a meeting with the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres.
Geingob will also attend the Peace and Security Council meeting on Friday.
