Snyman Transport and Rent-A-Drum on Thursday donated school uniforms, stationery, books and toiletries valued at over N.dollars 50 000 to Ngwangwa Primary School in the Kavango West Region.

The items were handed over to 153 vulnerable children.

Speaking during the handover, Ngwangwa Primary School principal Elizabeth Ihemba said the school will use the donation as motivation to improve the performance of their school this year.

“The teachers and I would like to promise Mr Snyman and his team that we will make use of this motivation to strive for the best results this year and the years after,” she said.

Ihemba thanked both donors, saying the donation not only improves the learners’ outer appearance, but also improves their confidence.

“A confident learner is mostly associated with good results in his or her studies. This gesture has brought relief to parents, learners and teachers,” she stated.

Chief Education Officer in the region, Edward Likuwa said the two companies that donated the items have shown that they care about the Namibian child, and the donation will make a difference in their lives.

Sakkie Snyman of Snyman Transport said he decided to help the learners because the education of the Namibian child is important to him.
