Nandi-Ndaitwah Pays Tribute to Late Namibian Freedom Fighter Hulda Isaak

Windhoek: President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has issued a message of condolences following the death of Hulda Isaak, a veteran of Namibia's liberation struggle. Isaak died in the Mariental State Hospital on 31 July 2025. She was 107.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Nandi-Ndaitwah described Isaak as a dedicated freedom fighter who sacrificed her life for the liberation of her motherland. In her statement on Monday, she expressed her deep sadness over Isaak's passing, emphasizing Isaak's lifelong commitment to justice, unity, and progress for all Namibians.

Nandi-Ndaitwah highlighted that Isaak joined Swapo in Gibeon in 1976 and remained a loyal supporter of the party leadership throughout her life. Isaak's unwavering commitment to Namibia's liberation struggle was recognized by the Namibian government, which accorded her veteran status.

Nandi-Ndaitwah further remarked on Isaak's brave activism and dedication to the liberation of Namibia, noting that her contributions remain engraved in the memory of the nation. She concluded by offering her condolences to Isaak's children, family, friends, and fellow comrades on behalf of the people and the Government of the Republic of Namibia.
