The body of a man was on Sunday afternoon found hanging from a tree on a commercial farm in the Okahandja district.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol) spokesperson in the Otjozondjupa Region, Inspector Maureen Mbeha in an interview with Nampa on Monday said the body was identified as that of Golden Nowaseb from Farm Raudenhaut plot number six.
“A wire was found tied around his neck. His relatives identified him there,” said Mbeha.
Nowaseb’s body was found by a passer-by and no suicide note was found.
Mbeha stated that so far, no foul play is suspected and an inquest docket has been opened at the Okahandja Police Station.
Police investigations in the matter continue.
