Featherweight boxer and former African Boxing Union champion, Nathaniel ‘Natty’ Kakololo, is ready to rumble when he challenges British boxer Nick Ball for his World Boxing Council Silver Feather Title.

The fight scheduled for Saturday will be held at the Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, England.

Addressing the media on Monday, Kakololo said come Saturday, he is going to be his own judge.

“In 2021 I fought in Ukraine. I won that fight but the scorecard read otherwise, the same thing happened in Russia, where I was supposed to get a draw but I lost that fight. It’s my time now to do what is right when in the ring as I have never been fit like this before,” he said.

He added that since defeating Kasimu Haji in May this year he has kept fit as he knew such an opportunity would present itself.

“I would like to applaud the working relationship between our stable, the MTC Salute Boxing Academy and MTC Nestor Sunshine Boxing and Fitness Academy that worked together in making this fight a reality,” he said.

Elaborating, MTC Salute Boxing Academy chairperson and owner Kiriata Kamanya said credit should be given to Nestor Tobias for connecting them to other promoters, which is helping in growing the sport of boxing in Namibia.

“Kakololo has been in the gym training hard and we are positive of winning this fight in London. His trainers Tobias Nashilongo and Eliphas Namundjebo have pushed Kakololo to the limits as it’s not easy to get this type of opportunity. We want to give our all and win,” said Kamanya.

Meanwhile, Kakololo’s trainer Nashilongo told the media that his boxer is ready and his opponent is going to get the message when in the ring.

MTC Public Relations Practitioner, Erasmus Nekundi said MTC is rallying behind the boxer and he should bring the title back home from London.

Kamanya, Nashilongo and Kakololo will depart for London on Tuesday, while Nestor Tobias will join them on Friday.
