Bester Joins Free State Stars

Namibian international player Rudolf Bester has signed a two-year deal with Free State Stars.

The former Orlando Pirates midfielder played for AmaZulu this past weekend in the e-TV Charity Showdown, but he was reportedly only with the Durban club in order to train and keep fit.

Collin April, Bester’s agent, confirmed to Soccer Laduma that 31-year-old Bester has officially joined Ea Lla Koto, and will begin training with the club immediately.

“I’m happy to confirm that Rudolf has a signed a two-year contract with Free State Stars. He impressed the club and will begin training with his new teammates today,” stated April.

Bester was released by Orlando Pirates at the end of last season after returning from a loan spell at Golden Arrows. He has also played for Maritzburg United in his PSL career.

Former Brave Warriors coach Tom Saintfiet was appointed coach of Free State Stars earlier this month.
