A 41-year-old man died on Saturday evening on the Otjituuo-Okamatapati gravel road after he allegedly lost control over the vehicle he was travelling in on a curve outside Otjituuo.

Spokesperson of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Otjozondjupa Region, Inspector Maureen Mbeha in an interview with Nampa on Sunday said the deceased has been identified as Clemens Kavezeri.

Kavezeri's next of kin have been informed of his death, Mbeha said.

The accident occurred some 20 kilometres southeast of Otjituuo in the Okakarara Constituency at about 18h00 on Saturday.

The deceased was travelling from a wedding in the Otjituuo area with an adult male passenger who survived the accident with some minor injuries, said Mbeha.
