NamPol warn public, especially business owners and farmers not to keep large amounts of money or valuables on them and/or at their premises

ONGWEDIVA: The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Oshikoto Region have warned the public, especially business owners and farmers, not to keep large amounts of money or valuables on them and/or at their premises.

The Oshikoto NamPol issued such warning in a media statement on Friday, saying business owners, farmers and the public at large should be on the lookout for strange people and cars visiting or driving past their businesses frequently.

Any suspicious movement should immediately be reported to the nearest police station, they urged.

The warning follows several incidents of armed robbery reported at various places in the country.

Two farm owners in the Otjozondjupa Region lost their lives last month to armed robbers.
