Preparations for 2015 OATF in full swing

ONGWEDIVA: Preparations for the 2015 Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair (OATF) are in full swing with contractors busy erecting exhibition stands at the show ground before the fair starts on Friday.

OATF spokesperson Andreas Utoni told Nampa yesterday 440 local and international exhibitors are expected to showcase their products and services during the OATF of this year.

Utoni, who is also the corporate communications officer of the Ongwediva Town Council, pointed out that over 500 exhibitors have applied for stands this year.

However, he indicated that all applicants could not be accommodated because the show ground only has 440 spaces.

According to Utoni, 35 international exhibitors from Kenya, Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Egypt, Japan and China will participate in this year’s OATF.

The Minister of Industrialization, Trade and Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Development, Immanuel Ngatjizeko, will officially open the 2015 OATF on Saturday.

The nine-day fair ends on 29 August.
