Swapo Party Secretary-General expresses confidence in legal team’s ability that is handling party’s defense in a court case

WINDHOEK: Swapo Party Secretary-General Nangolo Mbumba yesterday expressed confidence in the ability of the legal team that is handling the party’s defense in a court case instituted by four expelled youth leaders.

The four – former Swapo-Party Youth League (SPYL) Secretary Elijah Ngurare, Job Amupanda, Dimbulukeni Nauyoma and George Kambala – last month took the party to court for unconstitutional and vengeful expulsion from the party in July this year.

Without divulging much about the case, Mbumba told a media briefing the politburo has expressed confidence in the party’s legal team.

Amupanda was expelled from the party along with Nauyoma and Kambala for their role in mobilizing masses of Namibian youth to campaign for land.
