Unutilised land comes on stream

THE country has developed over 50,000 hectares of communal land in the Kavango region as part of a Ministry of Lands and Resettlement project funded by Germany over five years ago. The multi-million dollar land development project is the result of a 2006 agreement signed between Germany and Namibia, in which Germany gave N$37.6 million for infrastructural development on under-utilised land in the nation’s communal areas.
