We are ready for Japan: Davies

Namibia senior national rugby coach Phil Davies said the team is ready to go and represent the country well at the upcoming 2019 Rugby World Cup slated for Japan from 20 September to 02 November.

Speaking to Nampa yesterday after their second preparatory match against the Southern Kings at the Walvis Bay Private School rugby field, the coach expressed satisfaction at how his team had applied themselves during the two matches.

Both this match and the one last week were very physical. The team gave away too many penalties, though there was good intensity.

He called on the players to keep going and represent the country with pride as the challenge ahead of them is big.

Namibia defeated the Kings by 28-22 and 21-17 respectively in their final two preparatory matches before they head off to Japan for the 2019 Rugby World Cup on 12 September.
